Village karahiya has a long tradition of playing good volleyball game and has produced many skillful and talented players in the past and continues to do so even now. KARAHIYA has great history in field of Volleyball. People of this village are in teams of P.A.C., Indian Army, C.R.P.F., B.S.F, U.P. police and other State Police etc. In this village many volleyball tournaments have been organised in the memory of Late Sri Bhanu Pratap Singh.
The first great sportsman of our village is R.D.Singh. He played in Asian games in Triple Jump held in Tehran in 1974. Bhanu Pratap Singh was a great player of volleyball as he played this game on national level. Omkar Singh s/o Ramkrit singh has played volleyball on state level. Tadapu Singh ,Dr. Om Prakash Singh, Ajay Singh (s/o Ram Gahan Singh), Ajay Singh and Pushpendra Singh also have played national and state level games. Amrendra Pratap Singh(s/o Tadpu Singh) got silver medal in state delhi in javelin throw. He is now representing Indian Navy. He got Gold medal in india services games. he has participated in south koria in world Services games.

Jagnjeet Singh(Nachak) has participated in High Jump on national level games, as a cadet of CISF. He was excellent and got first prizes in games like Racing(100 Meter), Long Jump,High Jump every year till he studied in Gahmar inter college.

There are two young players who have shown their talent in national and state level. Vishal Singh (s/o Brij Kishor Singh) won the second prize in Sark Asia Karate Chapionship . Rohit Singh (s/o Srikant Singh) won two gold medals in junior national archery in Kaddapa Andhra pradesh. He won silver medal in all india university games . He is now selected for khelo india university games.

Cricket Team of our village(MAA KAMAKHYA CRICKET CLUB) won all final prizes of competitions held in district Ghazipur and other neighbor districts in year of 2001.I remember some names of team members at that time these are Om Prakash singh(caption), Praveen Singh, Satya Prakash Singh, Nikunj Upadhyay . MAA KAMAKHYA CRICKET CLUB organises every year a cricket tournament on district level. This tournament is one of the best tournaments of district Ghazipur.

Football team of Karahiya was one of the best teams of district ghazipur. Gangadhari Sharma was a great player of football. He was in football team of B.S.F. Ram Ekbal Singh is the caption of current football team.

In karahiya a Virat Dangal Pratiyogita is organised every year on the festival dashahara. In nag panchami people use to show their talent in athletic games and are awarded by Gram Pradhan of village karahiya.
